Crozier earns £1.7m since joining ITV

Broadcaster's chief executive gains substantial bonus after bumper year for advertising revenue.

Adam Crozier, ITV's chief executive, has earned almost £1.7m since he joined the broadcaster eight months ago, according to the company's annual report.

ITV recorded profits of £408m last year due to television advertising revenue increasing substantially, with Crozier, who joined the broadcaster on 26 April, receiving a bonus of £757,488.

The former Royal Mail chief executive also received a £532,000 base salary, a £344,000 "golden hello," and a £252,000 "short term" cash bonus since joining the broadcaster.

ITV staff earning less than £60,000 have also seen a 3 per cent increase in basic pay, with those earning more than £60,000 receiving increases based on their performance.

The company paid out nearly £3.7m to directors last year, of which £1.2m was in the form of cash bonuses.
