Christine Bleakley upset over Daybreak criticism

Host admits "teething problems" but expressed confidence in the show's future

Daybreak host Christine Bleakley confessed that reports criticising the ITV show have "upset" her.

The former One Show presenter admitted that the GMTV replacement has suffered some "teething problems" but they can be overcome shortly.

Speaking to The Sun's Buzz magazine, she said that the staff at Daybreak are very dedicated and are tying to make the show a success. She added that they are struggling to change things that are not going well.

Bleakley expressed confidence about the future of the show, which she co-hosts with ex-One Show host Adrian Chiles.

The show is being criticised for falling ratings and viewership figures when compared to the BBC Breakfast Show.

Although more than 1.2 million people tuned in watch the show's first episode in September, by October, the viewing figures sank to just 500,000.
