Graham Norton will replace Jonathan Ross as the host of BBC1's prime-time night talk show from October, a source has confirmed.
Ross, who will be hosting a chat show for ITV from early autumn, filmed his last episode of "Friday Night With Jonathan Ross on Wednesday night.
The 47-year old will host the show in a format similar to his current chatshow The Graham Norton Show on Monday nights, and not in the "Friday Night With ...." format.
The show will be moved to a "plum spot" on Friday, the source said.
Norton has already been confirmed as the new host of Ross's Saturday morning Radio 2 show.
