Peter Fincham to oversee ITV marketing

ITV's directer of television has been given responsibility for marketing as well.

Peter Fincham, ITV's director of television, has been assigned extra responsibility of overseeing the broadcaster's multi-million-pound annual marketing budget.

The move follows the decision of the managing director of brand and commercial, Rupert Howell, to leave the broadcaster. David Pemsel, the ITV group marketing director who also oversees research, will now report to Fincham.

Fru Hazlitt, who joined last month, taking the new role of managing director of commercial and online, will oversee ITV's commercial online operations, although Fincham is responsible for overall editorial content.

ITV chairman, Archie Norman, and chief executive, Adam Crozier, are in search of a capable person to take up the newly-created role of chief technology officer, as part of a five-year turnaround plan.
