Nathalie Schwarz, the commercial and corporate development director at Channel 4, is to leave the broadcaster as part of a restructuring plan announced by new chief executive David Abraham.
Abraham had put forth his plans to cut a quarter of the broadcaster's 48 senior executives last month.
Schwarz was overseeing mergers and acquisitions, and advertising sales consolidation. She played a significant role in negotiating and finalising the recent Channel 4 ad sales deal with UKTV.
She also masterminded the broadcaster's bid for the licence to run the UK's second digital audio broadcasting multiplex in 2007. However, it withdrew the plans to develop a digital radio business in 2009.
Schwarz was promoted to the Channel 4 board and her current role in December 2007. She stepped down as a board member last March.
