About 4,000 companies are expected to buy programmes and formats at the trade show. Britain's programmes and TV formats are expected to attract more buyers this year than last year.
The UK's share of global format sales to new territories increased to 41 per cent in 2009 from 29 per cent in 2008. The country is in the leading position in the sale of global television formats, followed by
Netherlands, US and Japan.
