AP chooses London as global TV hub

Associated Press, the 162-year-old news agency, has selected London as the hub of its global televis

Alla Salehian, AP's director of global media services, was reported by the Indpendent as saying the news agency's new offices in London will act as a "one-stop shop" for international broadcasters.

To gain popularity in Britain, the news agency has built a set of television studios in the country which offer an unobstructed 360-degree panorama of the London skyline.

Salehian expects at least 200 international broadcasting organisations to use these facilities to cover the UK elections.
