LL Cool J accuses Fox News of recycling old interview

The rapper and NCIS actor LL Cool J has accused the Fox News channel of using his name to promote Re

The new show hosted by Sarah Palin aims at telling the success and inspirational stories of people.

The programme has planned to show the interview of James Todd Smith (original name of LL Cool) in the debut episode on Thursday.

Advertisements cited LL Cool J and Toby Keith as guests alongside John F Welch, former chairman of General Electric.

But the star has now accused the channel on Twitter of lifting an old interview that he gave in 2008 to someone else.

However, Fox News said it conducted an interview with LL Cool J about 18 months ago for a programme also called Real American Stories, and therefore, did not need his permission to use the interview on the new program.

The broadcaster also said since Smith did not want to be associated with a program that could serve as an inspiration to others, they were cutting his interview from the special.
