Attenborough makes Europe's first 3D TV programme

BBC broadcaster Sir David Attenborough will make a documentary, titled Flying Monsters 3D, on prehis

This will be Europe's first programme made specifically for 3D television audience and will focus on pterosaurs, flying vertebrates that lived about 200 million years ago.

It will be first premiered on Sky's new 3D channel later this year and subsequently will be released in IMAX cinemas worldwide.

The 83-year-old Attenborough, who has been with BBC since 1952, said he was thrilled to be part of one of the first such projects and felt the new medium would be a wonderful way of seeing the world.
