BBC and ITV reveal coverage schedules for FIFA World Cup

The broadcasters have chosen their games and divided up the England schedule.

The BBC and ITV have spelt out coverage schedules for this year's FIFA World Cup in South Africa. ITV1 will screen the first two England group games at the World Cup against the United States and Algeria on 12 and 18 June.

The BBC One will screen the national team's final group game against Slovenia on 23 June. ITV1 will also show the first game of the tournament between the hosts South Africa and Mexico on 11 June.

In the knockout phases, BBC One will have the first pick of the "round of 16" and quarter final matches. If England reaches the semi-final stage, both the BBC and ITV will be simulcast the live match. Both will also show the final live match.

ITV's football World Cup coverage will be jointly sponsored by Hyundai and Lucozade Sport. Hyundai is the official car partner of the FIFA World Cup 2010 and Lucozade Sport is the official sports drink of Team England.
