BBC, TalkSport, and Absolute Radio share the Premier League commentary rights
The BBC has secured four of the seven national radio broadcasting packages for the English Premier L
By New Statesman Published 19 February 2010UTV-owned TalkSport and Absolute Radio will also air the games from the 2010-11 to 2012-13 seasons.
Each package will consist of 32 live matches.
The BBC's package includes Saturday lunch-time games and the first choice of the 3pm matches, Sundays at 4pm and Monday nights. TalkSport has got the Sunday games before 3pm and Saturday evening matches, and Absolute Radio gets the second pick of the Saturday 3pm games.
Apparently, the BBC has lost a third of live Premier League radio commentaries from 192 to 128, and TalkSport has doubled its live commentaries to 64.
