IPC to promote Sky’s online music library

Broadcaster Sky has teamed up with publisher IPC to promote Sky Songs, its online music library.

The broadcaster offers free music downloads to readers of IPC's TV listings publications TV & Satellite Week, TVTimes, What's on TV, TV Easy and Soaplife, to publicise Sky Songs, which was launched in October.

The IPC publications will run the promotion in one issue each, in consecutive weeks throughout February. Readers can download ten free songs from the Sky Songs music library, which reportedly contains over five million songs.

The online music library offers unlimited online streaming and mp3 downloads of tracks from EMI, Sony, Universal and Warner for £6.49 a month.

Meanwhile, rival Virgin Media's online music platform MusicFish is due to launch this summer.
