The brothers are estimated to be worth about £2.5bn. Catalyst is listed on AIM and is valued at £26m. The company appointed bankers at Rothschild to advise on its future.

Catalyst has nearly 21 per cent stake in Satellite Information Services (SIS), which has cameras that capture horseracing as well as news and sports events for ITV and Sky.

Although a review with Rothschild has been announced, the two brothers are yet to confirm on the takeover.
