Channel 4 will host live comedy gala for charity
Channel 4 has announced it will host the “biggest live stand-up show in history.” It will be a comed
By New Statesman Published 12 February 2010The show will be performed live in front of an estimated 14,000 fans and be broadcast by Channel 4 in April.
Many top names from the world of comedy, including the likes of David Mitchell, Jonathan Ross, Rob Brydon, Jack Dee, Alan Carr, Bill Bailey, Michael McIntyre, Rich Hall, Jo Brand, and Lee Evans are expected to take part in the live comedy event called Channel 4's Comedy Gala.
Bob Brydon, Ruth Jones, Jack Dee, Mark Watson and Omid Djalili, have also signed up. Performers from the West End production of Stomp will also make an appearance.
The charity show is in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital.
