BBC1’s Hustle tops 9pm TV ratings

The final episode of BBC1 con artist drama Hustle scored a narrow ratings victory over ITV1's Law &

According to unofficial overnight ratings, Hustle ended its sixth series with 5.6m viewers and a 22 per cent share in the 9pm hour. Law & Order: UK, which still has another week of its second run to go, had 5.4m viewers and a 21 per cent share.

These were followed by Channel 4's Tower Block of Commons, Channel Five's Paul Merton in Europe, and BBC2's Generation Jihad. Earlier in the night, soap operas dominated. ITV1's Emmerdale at 7pm drew 8m viewers. It was followed by Coronation Street and BBC1's EastEnders.
