By New Statesman Published 12 February 2010The three-year deal, which starts in August, will enable Absolute to cover 32 Premier League games each season.
The commercial radio operator has picked up one of the three Saturday afternoon radio rights packages offered by the League.
The channel will broadcast live football commentaries - branded as 'Absolute Radio Football' - on its national AM frequency, and its current 'Rock n Roll Football' show on the London FM licence.
Absolute will allow listeners to choose between the two streams, as it will split its national digital audio broadcasting (DAB) signal, subject to approval by Ofcom. The streams for both the shows will be available online in the UK.
