The real George Osborne's Granita moment

"They must be talking about a different Chancellor."

Last month I blogged about an innovative campaign designed to raise awareness of the damaging effects of food speculation ahead of a European Union vote in 2012. It takes the form of a mockumentary following "The Real George Osborne".

The spoof -- created on behalf of anti-poverty campaigners, the World Development Movement -- runs as 14 mini episodes. It's currently at episode nine (below) but you can catch up here. It's worth a watch.

So far around 20,000 people have viewed the videos on YouTube and almost 1,800 have emailed the Chancellor's office from the site.

The people who made the series, Hoot Comedy, have sent me a preview clip of episode 10 ("My Pret A Manger Moment") which features Will Smith from The Thick of It as George's friend Nat. It's billed as Osborne's Granita moment...

the episode ten preview looks like real life to me, are you just pretending they are acting?
