Plus ca change.
They couldn't even wait for the elections, and then have their protests that the elections were rigged and the result null and void, etc etc etc. Which means the troubles could lead to the cancellation of elections altogether and the Army declare an emergency and impose Martial Law for another decade.
Perhaps that was the plan all along in which case the demonstrators have played into the hands of the Junta.
Perhaps the Muslim Brotherhood might be thinking of stepping in just to fill the vacuum.
