Palestinian gunman breaks into Turkish embassy

Gunman breaks into Turkish embassy in Tel Aviv, takes two hostages and threatens to “kill Jews”, say

An Israeli official has confirmed that a gunman has broken into the Turkish embassy in Tel Aviv and has taken two hostages while threatening to "kill Jews", according to initial reports.

Local media are reporting that the gunman could be Nadim Injaz, a Palestinian from Ramallah previously arrested after an eight-hour standoff at the British embassy in Tel Aviv in 2006.

The street leading to the Turkish mission has been closed and it is thought that one person has been wounded so far.
