In the current issue of the New Statesman, we include a special magazine showcasing the 50 greatest political photographs of all time. You can sample a taste of these striking images on the website, featuring Alberto Korda's celebrated portrait of Che Guevara and a picture of an unknown prisoner at the Abu Ghraib jail in Baghdad, by following this link.
Our judging panel -- Jason Cowley, Jonathan Dimbleby, Stuart Franklin, Rebecca McClelland and Jon Snow -- also selected the single greatest political photo of all time: Nick Ut's Pulitzer prize-winning photograph of Phan Thi Kim Phuc as a young girl, running naked from the scene of a napalm attack in Vietnam in June 1972.
You can order copies of the special magazine, which includes all 50 images, by clicking here.
