Sachs of gold.
By Alyssa McDonald Published 28 January 2010 12:13While the world is still up in arms about overpaid bankers, the good souls at Goldman Sachs (well, the hundred good souls who are UK partners, anyway) have agreed to cap their bonuses at a frugal £1m each. A fairly swingeing cut to what they'd normally receive . . . but still enough to pay the average teacher's salary more than 3,000 times over.
