Bush pips Gore in battle of the wrong door

Gordon Brown leads former US vice-president into Copenhagen cupboard

Wallace and Gromit may have had issues with The Wrong Trousers, but world leaders seem to be afflicted by wrong-door syndrome.

I’ve only just caught this gem featuring Gordon Brown leading Al Gore into a broom cupboard in Copenhagen (presumably when the two were supposed to be saving the world) — but it still has comedy value 24+ hours later.

But once again, I suspect Gore hasn’t done quite enough to beat his nemesis George W Bush. Here is the former US president — who “defeated” Gore in the 2000 US election — exiting a press conference in China back in 2007. Or rather, failing to exit:
