Osborne won't mastermind Cameron's next election campaign
Chancellor "to concentrate on economy".

George Osborne will not take charge of the Cameron's next election campaign, according to the Daily Mail.
The Prime Minister is instead expected to recruit strategist Lynton Crosby, who masterminded both of Boris Johnson’s London mayoral election victories.
The decision is seen as an acknowledgement that the Chancellor should devote his full attentions to boosting the economy, instead of acting as Mr Cameron’s chief political strategist.
According to the Mail, Treasury insiders report that Osborne is seen as overstretched, "because he spends so much time plotting with Mr Cameron in Number Ten. Tory strategists are also conscious that Labour labelling him a ‘part-time Chancellor’ is damaging at a time of economic strife."

Crosby! Both of Boris' mayoral campaigns were utterly chaotic, particularly the last one. He didn't win because he was bolstered by the machinations a political mastermind.
So Gideon's going to work full-time on ruining the British economy? Frightening thought.
The Tory monsters from the back benches thought Gideon was their David Plouffe. Not quite...

Would that be the same Lynton Crosby who failed to get Michael Howard elected? Or the Australian Liberal (sic) party? And who also masterminded the Tories losing seats in the GLA to Labour?
the very same.
The Labour Party leadership will be fairly satisfied in the Tories' replacing an inadequate strategist with another.
Just as well really, I'm sure he'll need both hands on the wheel for the coming U-Turn.
