The Sopranos. For Real!

Corruption in New Jersey has never been so exciting

From Our Man In New York.

Just when you thought your life was lacking drama post-Wire, post-Sopranos, post-caring that much about swine flu, along comes a corruption scandal of epic proportions. The FBI arrested 30 people by MID-MORNING, according to the New York Times. By the end of the week the whole of New Jersey will be holed up in an underground dungeon. But this story has it all: a fake developer, an illicit deal in a diner, a dodgy Mayor and "several rabbis". You couldn't make it up. Well you could, and in many ways it already has been in the form of an endless stream of HBO series, but it's so much more fun when it's true.
