Here in Westminster, the Lib Dems remain the talk of the town, with the left of the party continuing to express bewilderment at the prospect of some sort of alliance with the Tories, a political grouping with diametrically opposed values.
Today’s Evening Standard has just dropped on my desk. In it, Matthew d’Ancona explores what a hung parliament might look like for David Cameron, who d’Ancona still says will win the election. However, the question remains for senior Lib Dems: could they really see themselves sitting in a Cameron-led cabinet?
That’s a question I’ll be putting to Chris Huhne, who narrowly lost to Nick Clegg in the Lib Dem leadership race, when I interview him for this week’s magazine later today.
