BNP finds non-white member
But there's a catch.

The "trickle" has started. Following the British National Party's renunciation of its whites-only membership policy, to which I referred yesterday, it appears that a non-white aspirant member has indeed been found.
He is Rajinder Singh, a 78-year-old Sikh gentleman who is fired up about "Islam" and has praised Nick Griffin for "taking on the whole storm of lefties" over "multiculturalism".
The only catch? Singh, who emigrated to Britain from India in 1967, wouldn't be able to join the BNP if the BNP itself had its way. Not even with the party's new non-whites policy; he wouldn't be here at all.

The BNP seems to be in total denial of what it means to be British in the 21st Century which incorporates a multi-cultural society. I am in full support of diversity and embrace living amongst and learning from people of all different ethnic backgrounds including my partner. I would argue that the whole point of not being racist is that all people are treated equally...so playing the race card (whoever the individual may be, regardless of colour) should not mean individuals escape justice if they have broken the law. Institutional anti-racism is not healthy either when it results in individuals such as Met Commander Ali Diseai being protected for fear colleagues are judged as racist...see article from the Spectator below...

Britain is not and never will be a muticultural society, whats wrong with you lefties?

Mass immigration is often to the detriment of native populations... just ask the Native Americans and the Native Australians.

James, you conveniently forget that BNP would not even hold a council seat if the Liebour party had not demonstrated such a pathological hatred of white Britons and English culture over the last 13 years. Zanu Liebour and its affiliated stooges have deliberatley manufactured the biggest wave of uncontrolled mass immigration we have ever seen. Why? To manipulate the vote, to forciby change our culture and to justify the creation of peverse anti-Britsh quangos masquerading as the "equality" industry. This was done against the will of the British people and behind our backs in true New Liebour style. Raginder Singh moved to UK when it was still Britain not a islamist dumping ground, packed full of politically correct cowards hell bent on national destruction. Cant the left accept that not every migrant agrees with the ruthless genocide of our herigate in the name of diversity. Maybe some of them want to protect our identity. Hopefully now Liebour will realise that trying to manipulate the vote with immigration isnt such a good idea after all.
Just because we don't want more immigrants, it doesn't mean we are hostile or hate those that are already here.
When parents have a child they didn't want, it doesn't mean that they will treat that child any worse than the children they already have.
If you explained to your first child that you don't want any more children and that child was to say "It's because you hate me!!!" - You would quite rightly laugh it off.
And that's exactly what we in the BNP do now, when someone quite mad, accuses us of hating immigrants, just because we don't want any more.

Always think that people tend to undermine their whole argument with these play on words around 'Tony B-liar' 'Gordon Broon' 'Liebour' etc. I'm sure whoever it was that wrote the message had a very good point but I frankly couldnt be bothered to read it after the first 'Liebour'.
It is perfectly possible to be brown, British and happy. I am. But for a member of Britain's Asian community to support the racist, Whites-only agenda of the BNP is beyond parody. If we really want to debate the many issues around immigration we MUST do so on a non-racist platform. The BNP, at their core, will always be the same. No amount of covering up will chnage them. Nick Griffin and his acolytes are racist, neo-nazi facists. If you want an honest debate about immigration, start with the premise that a virulently racist organisation cannot be allowed to have the only say. Multiculturalism, as the mainstream politicians think of it, is wrong-headed. We MUST start with the premise that Britain will always be British and that people who come here MUST abide by our laws - that is the only way forward. But that way forward cannot be represented by the BNP. If they had their way (their real agenda) we would all be going to hell in a handcart with only a picture of Adolf Hitler for company. It's time to take the issues away from the racists and the vested interests. It is perfectly possible to be a left-wing liberal and to debate immigration honestly and openly. That is what I do.

Chris: fair point re: Buddypress, but given the propensity of BNP members for making embarassing own-goals fascist gestures, this seems awfully familiar.

I don't want to be unkind but I think it is fair to suspect that this elderly gentleman may have (literally, considering his age)lost his mind.
It would be interesting to see how they treat the poor soul at meetings and social gatherings.

Sure mate. I don't think I've ever read posts from you for a "fair's fair" whenever someone has posted up "Prick Griffin" .

Well...they already admit white members...but:
1) They are associate members
2) They don't really advertise for white members

How about some day a media outlet does a balanced report on where the money comes from for the UAF and how most of its active core members hold positions paid for out of local authoriy and government money.

Right. Let me explain how BuddyPress for WordPress works. At this time, there is no way to moderate new users. Therefore, anyone can come along and register a user under any name that they want. Unless someone notices that it's a dodgy profile, then up the profile will stay.
The opposition have done some very underhand tactics of posting up new profiles with swasitikas, but they have been removed.
If you have any real evidence, that a real BNP member posted up a sick joke, then I'm all ears. But let's face it, *ANYONE* including you could have posted up the profile you are referring to.

Never voted BNP or know anyboby from the BNP so dont know.
One thing I do know is that the UAF are true anti democratic fascists who believe that they get to decide who the public should be allowed to listen to or vote for. This comes from the twisted authoritarianism of the British hard left who dont bother standing in elections but criticise everybody else who does. Even though campuses have had open debate for centuries the UAF true fascists threaten university staff and students to stop the democratic process. They then turn the other cheek when islamists recruit and preach hatred on the very same campuses.
It seems that the far left think that radical islam is a new ally against the west. Dangerous stuff, did you see what the Taliban did to the communists in Afganistan!

That was my first ever post on this site and your example would still apply. It's a juvenile distraction whoever the target of it is.
The BNP are in three areas where I have worked on the street with young people and actively recruiting white only people... the fact is that they are full of racism and also using hatred and negative leadership in a move towards an even more insular Britain.
Sensible border control is fine, but that is not what the BNP are about at all...
Sad to even hear the BNP getting news time and space, I believe the country is in need of change if the BNP are even able to get heard at all.
I look forward to the day that they are fully out of the picture again soon..
What I am interested to know, is how much history the BNP and its affiliates have actually read. By that I am not talking about the works of David Irving.
Britain is a national culture that has developed through centuries of immigration and cultural mixture. The Romans, French and Vikings all had a significant hand in the development of a culture which is apparently now under seige. We are a composite nation and all the better for that fact.
At what point do you draw the line in the sand and declare the final establisment of British culture which must now be preserved and not continually evolved?
No matter how loud the few learned members shout from the rooftops, the BNP are continually betrayed by the behaviour of their rank and file.
Doesn't the fact that the BNP only changed their 'white-only' constitution because they had to speak volumes?

I'm fed up of being treated as a second class citizen in my own country. Labour cares more about Muslims who by the very nature of the book they believe in want to kill us. We need people to govern who will put white English people first, people who's families have lived here for centuries not just got off the plane. Good luck Nick Griffin.
