Democrats — and President Obama — um, beware.
Sarah Palin, the somewhat gaffe-prone former governor of Alaska and Republican vice-presidential candidate, has appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s show to offer a non-denial denial of wanting the presidency.
“I don’t know what I’m going to be doing in 2012 [the year of the next presidential contest],” she said. [Running for president is] not on my radar screen right now.” So, that’s it, then. She wants to go for it.
The motives behind her mysterious governorship resignation are now looking a little clearer. But, given her performance as running mate to John McCain last year, it should really be the Republicans quaking in their boots.
