Cable has no evidence to support such a strong statement. to insist only the Euro is able to keep Europe together flies in the face of many post war decades of peace when there was no Euro.
how does Cable square that circle?
Time will tell, if sacrificing the house (Europe) to save the garage (Euro) is the right choice.
Ha, Ha - What a completely stupid statement. The EU is CAUSING strong nationalist and right wing parties in almost every member state. Catalonia, Venice, Scotland all want independence as they think they will have more say if they are not connected to their "mother" countries and anti-EU sentiment has become bitter and twisted.
Cable should get out more.
