Quote of the day
David Steel on Nick Clegg's petulance.

It appears to be sending the message that if I can't get my own way I won't do anything. That is not credible and makes you look petulant. I don't think Nick Clegg is petulant and I hope that he will consider what we can do now, short of elections, to tidy up the mess of the existing system.
David Steel urges Nick Clegg to take up the fight for House of Lords reform-lite.

Good to see Lord Steele pop-up out of Lord Owens pocket !
Even viagra couldn't stiffen the resolve of the Lib/Dems, the behaviour is petulant, unprofessional and does paint them in a very bad light. That David Steel doesn't think the man, Clugg, is personally petulant is neither here nor there.
Grow a pair, grow up or get out LibDems.
Mr Clegg could put together a new plan for Lords-reform that could go to the country in a referendum.
No Geogina, I say as someone who was fooling and don't mind admitting it to vote for Clegg's Lib/Dems. They have behaved themselves like petulant children and it started with Vince Cable.
They now know they will lose out big time in 2015 and will do anything to try and distance themselves from Cameron in a vain attempt to keep their vote up.
Parluament, The Commons, needs a massive revamp but it won't happen now because of Clegg, Cable and Laws behaving like children.
The only ones who have blocked any reform and acted like petulant children so far are the Tories to be honest. Lib dems could still go ahead with planned Boundary reforms, cleggy loves being deputy PM So hell probably just get Libdems to abstain from voting and Tories will win as they have more MPs.
Ah that's nasty editing. The headline implies that David Steel thinks Nick Clegg is petulant but the actual quote is that Nick Clegg is not petulant.
