All religious beliefs are pathetic, backwards, false, dangerous, and only beneficial to the elite.
It's not anti-Islam, or Islamophobic, to say that. It's just admitting the simple truth - as any rational, thinking human being has had access to since the Enlightenment.
But for Mehdi to be pushing a religion's "Valentineness" on us, when hundreds of innocent people have just been arrested in Pakistan, Iran, Malaysia, Indonesia and elsewhere for the "crime" of being young and in love... that's plain ridiculous.
Mehdi is an intelligent chap and I hope one day he learns to see through the lies of the Quran, just as he already can see the falsehood of the Christian Bible or the Tory Manifesto. The contradictions in publishing a blog like this are so obvious, so blatant, I hope that the moment of truth and real, anti-divine, revelation is almost upon him.
See you next Tuesday Alex.
When the Muslim Brotherhood are running Egypt in a years time, I want Mehdi to go to Tahrir Square, get on soap box, megaphone in hand and begin quoting Jesu's words of love peace and social justice from the Bible just as he did before Christmas in an article in this magazine.

shows the spread of Abrahamic religions across the world. I don't think the EDL, never mind secular humanism, will disturb the influence of middle eastern patriarchs. We'll be banging on about them in two thousand years time. Those accusing their laws of sexism and homophobia will be labelled racist on some terraformed moon of Jupiter.
What would be really fresh and enlivening would be a journalism that told us how to get the planet off the habit, as it were, but with love.
I take it you gave dispatches a miss then.
My first place of worship was not a Mosque but rather a Church of England; A beautiful Church with loving church goers. I learnt hims and read the stories of the Bible, and understood the meaning because it was in English and not in Latin, before I read single verses of the Quran in Arabic which I did not understand at all!!
I just wonder how many of my EDL brethrens are regular Church goers!
How can they claim to be English and not practice nor understand the Bible, even when it’s in our mother tongue native language!
If the EDL think I am a fundamentalist than lets look critically at our fundamentals.
There are a lot of really disturbing things in the Old Testament. Genocide, infanticide, slavery, polygamy, objectification of women..., even commanded!!
Too many to list now! Just Google!
How many of them have critically challenge Christian Fundamentalism or highlighted concerns to the Old and New Testament!!
Is there such thing as Christian Talban in the world today!
Yes there is! ; Mr G.W. Bush took us to War because he was inspired by God!!
Hitler was a regular Church goer!!
Just because of some Taliban Christians it does not make all Christians Taliban and literalist!! I am sure this is the same with all faiths and in particular the Islamic faith under the spot light now!
Like to see some of my EDL brethrens standing up against the savage Government cuts that effect all working class people Muslim and non; Students fees, Muslim and Non; housing, Muslims’ and Non, Terrorism Muslim and Non!!
Don't worry Mehdi about the English Talabans who attack You.
You are doing a good job.
Long live Modernity!!
I'll try again, previous post didn't appear.
The end clip is of Egyptian Christians encircling their Muslim brothers during prayer to protect them from the pro Mubarak supporters. It speaks volumes.
Contrast that with the vile utterances of the EDL and Tommy 'I'm under police protection' Robinson. It's ill informed rhetoric, uneducated propaganda and what a shame that they have more grasp of Nazi german than they do the English language.
Brilliant video Medhi.
@Conners. Ha, know what you mean. I think the word irony is most definetly lost on Alex.
