Does Mugabe back the Tories?

The Zimbabwean tyrant seems to prefer Cameron to Brown.

From AFP:

We have always related better with the British through the Conservatives than Labour," Mugabe told journalists.

"Conservatives are bold, [Tony] Blair and [Gordon] Brown run away when they see me, but not these fools, they know how to relate to others," he added.

Mugabe's rant comes after Prime Minister Gordon Brown told South Africa's Jacob Zuma in London that Zimbabwe's targeted sanctions would not be lifted until progress was seen in the power-sharing government.

Zuma, who is the mediator in Zimbabwe's fragile unity accord, wants the sanctions lifted.

"We have a better chance with [British Conservative leader] David Cameron than with Brown," said Mugabe.

Ken Barlow, you are not alone . . .

Jason the difference is that the Labour Party is a progressive party. The tories aren't. Those who donate to Labour do it for altruistic purposes.

Most of Tory's funding comes from the city and financial sector.
Just read the recent article by Johann Hari in the independent: 'Fat cats and evangelicals: what a Tory win would really mean'.

They donate to the Tories because they want to reduce their taxes. Or they donate to the Tories because they want to push their religion by setting up faith academies which would teach kids creationism.

Has he got a vote? I think we should be told.

Mugabe has much in common with Soviet leaders. Khrushchev visited Britain in 1956. In his memoirs he recalled :
"We found that the Labourites were consistently more hostile toward us than the Conservatives.'

Labour recieved more money from non doms than the tories.

This hypocrisy is rallying conservatives who can't stand cameron.

Brown gives Lord Paul a new job.

Labour benefits from a system of non doms for 13 years.

Labour blocks freedom of information request for iraq war minutes but loves it when it comes to ashcroft.

Labour won't hold hearings on lord paul but will on ashcroft.

Labour's sir ronald cohen has given labour 2.55 million in recent months and he says questions about his taxes are out of bounds. Labour needs to be asked to clarify his tax status and when they knew about it.

Labour has benefited from lord paul as a non dom donating to labour and labour has been in power for 13 years and done nothing about it.

Tories have proposed to end non doms being lords right away if they win power.

Tories will raise taxes on non doms.

Labour has benefited the most from non doms and done nothing.

Now Labour is pretending they are raising money from small donors when they have recieved more from non doms than any other party.

The yougov poll has gone down for labour since this non stop ashcroft attack because voters can't stand hypocrisy.

Conservative voters can't stand cameron but keep the media hypocrisy going defending this discredited government and they will vote instead of staying home.

Jason - calm down and just tell me this: which of the two parties has a "non-dom" as its deputy chairman?

Labour would be bankrupt without money from non doms. Labour can't call to give back money from non doms because they only have a few million to spend on the campaign and they have received almost seven million from non doms.

Gordon Brown made Lord Paul a privy councillor when he was in power.

Gordon Brown is in power not David Cameron.

Of course the tories are wrong with ashcroft. But Labour's hypocrisy is breathtaking amd the media from the guardian to the independent have been so one sided it is ridiculous. The guardian has had this as a headline for five straight days like they are a weekly paper.

Labour won't hold a hearing on why gordon brown made lord paul a privy councillor.

Labour timed this all for an election tactic. If they were so concerned about ashcroft they could have brought this up a long time ago.

This whole thing was timed as campbell was writing an op-ed about this a week before and pro labour media were starting to pump up the story.

I'm calm! lol

Deputy Chairman or not he is valuable because of the money he has given the tories.

Just like Sir Ronald Cohen is valuable to Labour. Cohen in recent years has given 2.55 million to labour. Cohen when asked about his status has said tax questions are out of bounds.

Now labour mp's and the guardian are pushing that labour is getting money from small donors like obama and labour vs tories is david vs goliath.

So all of a sudden Sir Ronald Cohen is a small guy and the little man.
