Simon Jenkins gets it right

The Simon Jenkins column in the Guardian today nails the argument against 42 days.

These, for me, are the killer sentences: "The police have enough emergency power already. As for panic, that has nothing to do with national security and everything to do with the position of the prime minister."

I agree with you on this one bright.

Although in two years time when labour do the dirty work for the Tories on this issue.

1. The Tories will keep the legislation in place.

2. Bright and Cohen will be backing their Tory government to increases the detention time
