I'm so grateful for this article! I'm a forty-something career woman who refused to accept vapid brats as my feminist role models. I was insulted with the assumption that if women truly had power, they would spend all day in high heels and all night in bed with strangers. Yuck! I want days of freedom to work toward a better world, and nights spent in peace; my view represents a lot more females than the "role models" of Sex and the City.
Great article - it's refreshing to see SATC placed in context with modern feminism as experienced by me and my friends.
