Arnold Schwarzenegger hates socialism

...but he loves Milton Friedman.

Much excitement from our senior editor's corner of the office at the forthcoming action flick The Expendables. Fine -- although he might not agree with the politics of the film's co-star, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I came from a socialistic country where the government controls the economy. It's a place where you can hear 18-year-old kids talking about their pension. But me, I wanted more. I wanted to be the best. Individualism like that is incompatible with socialism. So I felt I had to come to America.

The Expendables is ideal for AS - another dimwit tale of US interventionism in Latin America, where they the US once again casts itself as hero and liberator. Brace yourself for relentless stereotypes. It's ideal propaganda for forthcoming US wars in the region.

The Expendables, The Untouchables, The Incredibles are all examples of superheros cleaning up the Americas from communism drugs and gangsters, for decent folk like Arnie and Dolph to live in.

Since Arnie's debut as a 'Celeb' I have advocated putting him in a zoo and wonder if others feel the same. The Neanderthal visage would be lovely peering through the bars of a cage as would the overdone muscles
