Bob Diamond's daughter Nell has spent the last few days retweeting witticims about her dad.

However, today she decided to come out swinging in full support of the beleaguered Barclays boss:

For those not familiar with the acronym, here is where you can look it up.
This tweet was later deleted and replaced with the rather more sober:

Quite.

It's good to see reverse snobbery is alive and well in this country still...
How do any of you know anything about what his kids are like simply because they have a successful father? In the same situation wouldn't most of us defend our parents, even if we weren't cognisant of all the facts?
Let's lampoon Diamond, IF it turns out he was at fault then he deserves whatever he gets but let's leave his kids out of it.
Yeah! She's got nothing to do with it.
It's not like children benefit from their parents fortune. It's not like she's been bathed in dirty money her entire life.
Oh wait...
hehe. *Love* inverse snobbery. A massive admission that *everyone* judges people by the circumstances of their birth.
but it's okay to completely prejudge people if they're rich, obviously. Not in any way morally equivalent. Ho no.
I think you may have missed the fact that 'the kid' put herself in it.
And here are the lovely father and daughter showing regret:

Don't these pampered little brats just make you laugh?
I was so drunk yesterday I accidentally killed a goose with a shotgun. Sorry, dead goose.
Good work Nell, your inheritance of daddy's fortune is assured.
