Blair's retirement gift

Now Tony Blair has been forced to admit he is going to leave Downing Street within the year, it is time to turn our minds towards one of the most important questions facing Britain. What leaving present would be fit for a prime minister?

Clearly he is going to have quite a bit of time on his hands, so to fill the gap some sort of pet might be in order - maybe a poodle. Or given Mr Blair's penchant for things American he may well appreciate a pair of cowboy boots. It might be appropriate also to provide him with some sort of musical diversion. The complete works of Sir Cliff Richard might bring back memories of some happy summer holidays.
