German lender puts its housing finance unit up for sale, as part of the global restructuring of the

German lender Deutsche Postbank has reportedly put its Indian housing finance unit up for sale, as part of the global restructuring of the firm.

Deutsche Postbank's Indian housing finance unit which is known as Deutsche Postbank Home Finance (DPHF), has been put for sale as it has been identified as a non-core asset, reported the Business Standard.

Tata Finance, L&T Finance, Indiabulls and Religare have shown interest in buying DPHF, which according to Business Standard is valued at $340m.

Deutsche Postbank has hired Standard Chartered Bank as financial adviser on the sale.
