Tata Motors October sales up 18 per cent

86,705 units were in October 2010, according to company figures.

Tata Motors Group global sales, comprising of Tata, Tata Daewoo and Hispano Carrocera range of commercial vehicles, Tata passenger vehicles with distributed brands in India, and Jaguar and Land Rover, were 888, an increase of 18 per cent, compared to the same period prior over.

Cumulative sales for the fiscal (April 2010 - October 2010) are 598,639 units, an increase of 44 per cent compared to the same period in 2009-10.

Sales of all commercial vehicles were 40,750 units in October 2010, a growth of 20 per cent. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are 274,323 units, a increase of 52 per cent.

Sales of all passenger vehicles were 45,955 units for the month, an increase of 17 per cent. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are 324,316 units, an increase of 39 per cent.

Tata passenger vehicle sales, including those distributed, were 27,110 units for the month, an increase of 20 per cent. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are 193,184 units, a growth of 41 per cent.

Jaguar Land Rover global sales in October 2010 were 18,845 vehicles, an increase of 12 per cent. Jaguar sales for the month were 3,219, lower by 19 per cent, while Land Rover sales were 15,626 higher by 22 per cent.

Cumulative sales of Jaguar Land Rover for the fiscal are 131,132 units, an increase of 35 per cent. Cumulative sales of Jaguar are 32,999 units, an increase of 21 per cent, while cumulative sales of Land Rover are 98,133 units, an increase of 41 per cent.
