Leo Motors appoints new CEO for Korean subsidiary

New CEO comes from Hyundai

Leo Motors, a company engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of Electric Vehicle (EV) power trains and components, has appointed Young-Il Kim as the new chief executive officer of its operating Korean subsidiary.

Kim previously served as chief designer of commercial vehicles and concept vehicles at Ssangyong Motor company before joining the Hyundai Motor group in 1995.

From 1995 through 2007, Kim held various positions of increasing responsibility under the Hyundai Motor group, including chief designer at Hyundai Precision, chief designer and SVP at Hyundai & Kia Design Centre, and EVP in Marketing for Brand & Design Differentiation between Hyundai and Kia Motors.

From 2007 through March 2009, Kim served as CEO and president of Innocean, a Marketing Communication Company of the Hyundai Kia Group.
