There has never been so much focus on food in the UK and its impact on our health. Record numbers of people are overweight, obesity and diabetes in children are on the increase and cases of coronary heart disease are climbing. Our relationship with food is complex and many of us are increasingly disconnected from what we eat, let alone where it comes from. Yet food is also essential to life. The New Statesman and Compass programme, "It's all in good taste", is investigating these critical issues and what changes need occur.
