From September 2014 the School of Politics and International Relations at Queen Mary University of London is planning to offer a unique, highly practical programme designed to provide a transition for recent graduates into the world of politics.

Students will take practically-relevant modules such as Working for a Political Party, Working in Parliament, Media and Politics in Britain, Public Opinion in British Politics, Public Affairs and Lobbying and Think Tanks in British Politics. Modules will be delivered, either partly or wholly, by practitioners as well as by Queen Mary academics specialising in British politics, like Tim Bale, Patrick Diamond and Mike Kenny. Students will also have the opportunity to arrange a work-based placement.

The School also hosts a lively extra-curricular programme that students can participate in and so complement their studies, including events that welcome politicians and civil servants, past and present together to discuss government and politics in the UK.

Queen Mary is a Russell Group university, with first-class academics, inspirational teaching, research excellence, and a great track record for graduate employability.

**Competitive bursary available**
