Tempers rise near Korean border
South Korea engages in war games near disputed border.
By New Statesman Published 20 December 2010
South Korea today held a live-fire military exercise on the island North Korea shelled last month.
The North attack on Yeonpyeong island killed four people and sparked a wave of international condemnation.
The North had previously threatened an "unpredictable self-defensive blow" if the drill exercise went ahead, but there has been no military response so far.
The South has come under criticism from Russia and China for its actions, who urged it stop the drill. The US has supported the South's actions, saying that the state is entitled to be "properly prepared in the face of... ongoing provocations".

For God's Sake, not another Korean Police action. Sorry, should that be UN, Nato or some other military association. And in this weather. The C-government has enough on its plate. And nobody wants to see Japan lit up like a Christmas tree.
At least Vince has reserved the 'nuclear option' as his not-so-secret weapon.
Seasonal Greetings
