Five more people have been sentenced to death in China, for their role in deadly ethnic riots in July.
The sentences bring the total number of people condemned to death over the riots to 22. Nine people have already been executed.
A further five people were sentenced to death with a two year reprieve, a sentence which is often degraded to life in prison.
The riots in the Xinjiang region killed 197 people and injured 1,700. According to Chinese officials, most of the dead were the majority Han ethnic group, who were attacked by Uighurs, a Turkic ethnic minority.
Reports suggest that the five sentenced to death were Uighurs.
