Antonia Quirke revealed her dislike of drama (perusing a programme is the only "tolerable part of going to the theatre") in her review of Radio 4's documentary on A Taste of Honey (Arts & Culture, 26 May) when she said that the play was first performed by "a theatre workshop".

Readers with an interest in British theatre between 1945 and 1968 will flock to the British Library's "Golden Generation" conference on 8 and 9 September, where surviving members of Theatre Workshop will join audience members, Harold Pinter, Ann Jellicoe, Peter Nichols and Alan Plater to recall this golden period of postwar theatre.
