Case not proven

It is disingenuous to argue that the science of climate change is settled (Cover story, 12 November) and that we are definitely threatened by global warming. We have no scientific "consensus" on anything. It would be more fair to say this is only about precaution. I've nothing against precaution, but I would not call it proven scientific fact.
