Our quest to see if Gene Pitney really was 24 hours from Tulsa when he passed away in Cardiff set many of you thinking. Last week, Ellie Jackson from Number One Travel sent us an itinerary that would have got him there from Cardiff in 15 hours.
That prompted Cadogan Travel's Andy Fountain to write in. He used Continental Airlines' Bristol-to-Newark service with an onward connection to Tulsa. Andy put the total journey time at 13 hours, but he didn't add on an hour to get to Bristol Airport from the Welsh capital. We'll call it a draw.
