Contrary to the impression that may have been given by the use of an image in our feature article and on our front cover last week, we are happy to point out that the Volvo XC90 is one of the safest vehicles available and is also the most fuel-efficient and cleanest seven-seater SUV. We recognise that Volvo Cars specifically developed the XC90 to address concerns around the safety and environmental performance of previous generation SUVs and as such has incorporated new features such as roll-over protection, and that the XC90 is the highest-scoring large SUV in respect of both occupant and pedestrian protection. We regret any confusion that may have been caused.
