Bene Bene took over the lease from vegetarian health food store Cranks.

Under the terms of the original lease Bene Bene agreed to use the Cabot Place unit "as a high-class health food restaurant and takeaway".
Canary Wharf Group's audit said the following foods were unacceptable: chocolate bars such as Mars and Twix, soft drinks Cola-Cola, Pepsi and 7UP, chilli jacket potatoes and egg and tomato submarine rolls.

Bene Bene has been a noticeable success since it opened just after Christmas - with regular queues out of the door.
