Dare Say

"I dare say some mistakes were made" - Michael Portillo, of rail privatisation

Fifteen tickets, that's your choice,

But none too cheap, I am afraid,

Please hear my disembodied voice:

I dare say some mistakes were made.

The uniforms are pastel pink,

The train did not apply its brakes,

The signal twinkled, so I think:

They made, I dare say, some mistakes.

The carriages have caught alight,

The train will suffer some delay,

You won't be home tomorrow night:

They made mistakes, I dare to say.

The rail has cracked along the track,

The infrastructure has decayed,

The passengers are burned and black:

I dare say some mistakes were made.

I dare say some mistakes were made.
