A young man found himself spending a night in Exeter police cells after wandering around a city park pretending to talk very loudly into a mobile phone.
Exeter magistrates heard police had arrested Dean Snell after he was seen making a spectacle of himself in St Thomas Pleasure Grounds. - Exeter Express & Echo (Francis Harvey)

Group 4, the security firm, yesterday joined a group of bidders for one of the rail franchises.
Group 4 is one of six contenders for the franchise run by Stagecoach-owned South West Trains. It is also bidding for Central Trains in the Midlands.
A Group 4 spokeswoman said: " We are new to the railway business, but have experience in the transfer of people." - Guardian (Robin Wendt)
